Hi,

I'm not bored enough to watch tv, so I spend alot of my time listening to science based podcasts.

Astromy Cast
The Universe Today
Planetary Radio
Are We Alone (The SETI Institute)
Dr. Karl
The Naked Scientist
In Our Time
The Material World
Frontiers

Does anyone have any other recommendations for good podcasts?

Slacker Astronomy, no thanks, don't like it. Skeptics Guide no-thanks, the presenter knows what he's on about but the co-hosts perpetuate the myth of skeptics as close-minded.

ABC's Star Stuff (http://www.abc.net.au/newsradio/programs/STARSTUFF.htm) if you can handle Australian accents.

CBC's Quirks and Quarks (http://www.cbc.ca/quirks/) features mostly North American scientists in an hour long episode.

Scientific American has Science Talk and 60 Second Science (http://www.sciam.com/podcast/). Science Talk is a half hour.

Here are some that I subscribe to that I didn't see mentioned:

NPR Science Friday

Science Talk, Scientific American's weekly podcast

Stardate (short daily podcast)

Science Update

If you can watch video podcasts, NASA JPL is one, and National Geographic Video Shorts, and Jack Horkheimer Star Gazer.

I was just listening to a recent podcast of Naked Scientist and I heard Pamela Gay talking about getting amateurs around the world to observe variable stars. She was in Britain for a conference on variable stars--which hasn't been mentioned in the AC podcasts.

Wow, I'm a little late on this one, but my favorite science podcast is "The Science Show". ABC radio national from Australia. I get it on iTunes. I have taken note of your list, kamawoop, and will try some of those.
