I'm intrigued by the recent Nova discovery in Sag, and was wondering would it be visible through a good telescope just by searching around the Sagittarius constellation, or will I need more specific info to view it?

If so I have a GPS system (I know it's a cheat to all the purists out there..) where might I find the coordinates ?

Fraser has the coordinates listed in the Universe Today site:
Nova Sagittarius 2008 Is Brightening! (http://www.universetoday.com/2008/04/23/nova-sagittarius-2008-is-brightening/)

Are you referring to this existing thread (http://www.bautforum.com/astronomy/73205-possible-naked-eye-nova-alert.html) with everything you need?
