Quakes have "seasons", like tornados? I didn't know that.

Interesting website, if a bit creepy. How strange to see so much human suffering expressed in such dry prose--just "Hindu Kush", over and over again.


In comparison, CNN.com (http://www.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/asiapcf/central/03/27/afghanistan.quake/index.html) seems to gloss over it a bit, making it sound relatively simple.

The quake measured 6.1 on the Richter scale, while an overnight aftershock measured 5.0, according to the U.S. Goeological Survey...
Like, "Oh, gee, they had an earthquake and an aftershock", and that's it.
