I visited with my sales guy yesterday and looked at the accommodations on his wall for his time working on the space shuttle. One photo was of a mounting point where the shuttle attaches to a 747 for transport. I was able to find another photo on-line, with a note to remind technicians how to properly mount a space shuttle on a 747.

Here it is..... :)

It seems that even on the most technical of projects, you can always find an idiot...

Why don't they just put one of these on the shuttle?

Neverfly!

why do you demean people? why?

have you nothing much positive to say about another human being / animal? i realise you like hunting / or are a professional hunter, whatever....

but why do you always have a go at people?

you already had a go at me, about not having my feet on the ground, or real perspective etc etc., which i found offensive. you don't even know me.

try saying something nice. positive. or may be nothing.

Ok, I'm not all that bad, really- you're just witnessing one side of me.
Negative things to say still serve a purpose. Sometimes they need to be said, need to be heard, need to be addressed.
Sometimes it's just funny.
Like in this thread.
I had a go at you Mahesh, simply because you deserved it.
But I'm also the kind of guy that would help you out - as a stranger- simply because you deserve that too. You just haven't seen the other side. Which is understandable on a posting board, where people are more inclined to post a speech when they disagree, than to post an agreement.
In fact, folks dog folks out here for posting, "I agree!"

If I offended you the other day.. Uhhh I'm sorry.
But I'm not going to keep my mouth shut just because there's always someone out there that can get offended.

You don't know me either Mahesh- and that's ok. I'm not winning any popularity contests here. But I do cause folks to stop and think occasionally.

Many years ago, I remember, I was whining and carrying on about how so and so done me wrong.
And finally the guy I was complaining to about it snapped and told me to just shut up. If I didn't like the situation to just DO something about it and quit cryin.'

How mean.

I was offended, kinda hurt and very angry at him. I didn't expect him to up and suddenly say that.

It was also exactly what I needed to hear.

I took his advice too, and a couple years later- My son was born. And I'm still taking his advice as a father.

Look, all I'm saying is arguing on the internet, flaming, posting threats, whatever is just so nerdy. Personally I'm inclined to just let that stuff go, after all AFAIAC it's just some dork on the end of a keyboard who more than likely wouldn't say the same stuff to my face...
