I was recently checking through some of the old pictures I had saved in Favorites, and I came across Planet X's orbital path, which was (I believe) actually released by Nancy at one point. I'm sure some people here will remember it.

I still laugh at it...

Me too... And I remain reminded of the NASCAR jokes that cropped up as a result.

Yeah, that PX must really corner, and no pit stops!

tazmandevil3, you shoud have put a disclaimer before you posted that thing. I was taking a drink of water while the pic was loading, and when I saw the thing, I almost choked. :o

5 minutes later...

I'm fine now.

With those long straights, I think the Williams cars, with their greater horsepower, will have a big advantage over the Mclarens and the Ferraris on the PX road course.

PX the magic planet
Bobbles near the Sun
It's coming soon to kill us all
So to the hills we'll run.

Little Nancy Lieder loved that Planet so
She warned on Usenet and the Web and also radio

(chorus)

Nancy and her Planet X made their way to fame
By channeling the Zetas Nancy got herself a name.
Art Bell and the woo-woos would listen whene'er she spoke
Even though it sounded as if she'd just had a toke.

(chorus)

A planet lasts a long time, but only if it's real
Nancy's specks and lens flares were not enough to feel
One May 15th it happened: the planet did not show
You'd think Nancy would be relieved, but that would not be so.

Nancy kept on going, still on air and 'Net,
That Planet X did not exist was something she could not get.
She's still decrying Planet X, and who knows for how long
But I can go no longer 'cause I've got to end this song.

(chorus)

[Slow day at work today....]

Anyone notice that it's conspicously shaped like a flattened-out "N"? As in Nancy? Methinks this is intended as a joke.

Seems to me if PX is as visible as the zetatalk photos indicate, it must still be on the far side of the Sun (relative to Earth) because you don't see pics of a "quarter PX" or a "half PX", only a full PX. Therefore, it is on the far side of the Sun so the PX face showing would be full.

Now that I've brought this up, expect to see some "half PXs" and "quarter PXs" as the photogs bring their product up to date . . .

Idol_harobed on the GLP boards has been bringing this up repeatedly. No one's paid attention so far.
