It's personal, and it's not relevant to anyone else, but...

I wanted to share the fact that as of tomorrow, my parents will have been married for fifty years. And they're still happy.

Let's hear it for long-term relationships!

Hey, nice one..
Hope you're taking them out for a slap-up meal somewhere :)

My folks' 50th happened back in '92.

They're both still with us, though on the decline (sad to say).

That's fantastic. I only just passed my 18th anniversary. I hope the best for them.

Thanks for your thoughts, guys.

We're having a family get-together tomorrow and a meal at a posh restaurant.

My wife and I have been married 15 years, so we've got another 35 to go...

Good for them. I know my parents would have made it past fifty, if only they'd lived that long.

Send my best wishes, Paul. My own parents made it to 53 years until Dad was called away.

My mom and dad have been married for 58 years--mom-75, dad is 77--I visit them up north often--I'm 57 now--still get yelled at for teasing my siblings--we're like the family that never grew up for real--I still flop down on the carpet in the living room and tease the dog until my dad yells at me . . .

I have been married for 0 years.
By the time I ever do get married- I'll never make it to the fifty year anniversary. I'll die first.

There's a trade-off in there somewhere--just can't put my finger on it--as negative as you made that sound, there may still be some gold lining . . . (38 yrs for me)

Congratulations to Beardsleys, Seniors! That's truly tremendous!
And to you and Mrs B too! thirty five will go in a blink...

Well, my Mummy and Daddy, celebrated their Diamond Anniversary, last year. Two energetic, slightly depreciated parents/grandparents/recently-crowned greatgrandparents.

You guys have a great celebration for your Grand Occasion!
