View Full Version : ToSeek and Antoniseb promoted to Administrators

Fraser

Hi everyone, I just wanted to make an announcement that we have promoted ToSeek and Antoniseb to administrator status on the board. This gives them equal authority to Phil and myself about the ongoing operations of BAUT.

I'd also like to take a moment to recognize and thank ToSeek and Antoniseb for their service to the forum for all these years. They have both worked tirelessly to keep the peace here, and make it one of the best places to discuss space and astronomy on the Internet.

Thanks guys!

This was a great place to discuss Astronomy and Spaceflight before *I* got here. I'm glad to have helped maintain something resembling your vision.

Congratulations, guys. I hope the extra burden of work isn't too bad--though you've both been awfully hard-working as mods.

Same here.

Now; who is going to promote Phil and Fraser?

I'm afraid now that ToSeek is a step ahead because he's now not only an admin, but a verb too.

And the irregular members!

Congrats, ToSeek and Antoniseb. That's quite an amount of trust thrust into your hands, a step I know not taken lightly. Good luck, now that the easy stuff will be handled by the underlings, and the rest will be on your plates :)

Hey, I'm as suprised as you. I refuse to pay support until I see a pat-test though.

I, for one, welcome the new Swift overlord.

I'm partial to the term, ‹bermensch (http://www.answers.com/topic/bermensch), as it "transcends the boundaries of classes, creeds, and nationalities, while maintaining a lordly superiority..."

But "overlord" will do.

:wall:

Seriously, though - here's a novel thought: How about we call them "administerators" and "moderators," or admins and mods, for short?

It seems to me that you're right, as Tim Thompson's join date is Oct. 2001, and his is a poster the on the page ToSeek linked to.
(I just happened to notice that just now, and it's not worth going back a page to compare ToSeek's join date when I'm off to bed next. IIRC, though, ToSeek's date is also Oct. 2001.)

Yes, I believe that's right. Unfortunately, there wasn't any way to port over the messages from the previous system, though somehow we've managed to keep most of them through the more recent transitions.

Yeah, that's why I kinda, sorta, chuckle about reconstituting this board. Even though I wasn't a member back at that time.
