and remember that the Sun is known for sensationalism.

Indeed...

ALIEN microbes living just below the Martian soil are responsible for a haze of methane around the Red Planet, Nasa scientists believe.
[...]
Some scientists reckon methane is also produced by volcanic processes. But there are NO known active volcanoes on Mars.

(Their bold). There are also NO known ALIEN microbes on Mars, but don't let that stand in the way of a JUICY article.

Let us look at the facts. We have measured the conditions and all indications are that some life could yet be found on Mars. Microbic or plant like cellular complex structures could be found to be living still or at some time past under the surface of the Martian subsoil. In the dampness of water rich enviroments... that we have not completely dismissed this idea yet is in it self proof enough life might yet be found.
But NO. its not going to come bounding up to us wagging its tail.... Irresponsible is what news items such as the one quoted above are. Deliberately misleading. We have as yet NOT found what we might call life, on Mars.

I agree with Yoda here.

Misleading wording is to reveal to you their advertising, not their knowledge. Dishonest it is.

While we're seeing the previous threads, let's merge them with this one and place the result here (http://www.bautforum.com/life-space/)for safekeeping.

its not going to come bounding up to us wagging its tail or whatever appendage a Martian wags.
