Fraser. Perhaps the most absurd proposal of the new millenium. In addition to the prohibitive costs of launching those payloads, the art of maintaining an appropriate attitude control for the device will challenge any team of engineers. Goes right in there with cold fusion. pete

More power to them (no pun intended) but without a lower cost way to get up there, I can't see them constructing anything past a small prototype. But at least there's research potential. If there wasn't the major hurdle of gravity, we'd likely already have them up there.
