looks like obama is going to roll with bush's plan when it comes to financing nasa according to this article: http://www.aviationweek.com/aw/generic/story_channel.jsp?channel=space&id=news/OMOON022509.xml

The 1 bill stimulus package will come in addition to this.
any thoughts on whether this budget has a chance of flying trough or what?
would be nice to see some human exploration of the moon and mars while i'm still around to enjoy it.

I believe this proposal has a very good chance of making through. Both parties support the plan, so I suspect it will make it through.

On a personal note, I didn't think the new administration would continue this project, but I'm was wrong.

Thank you Mr. President.

I imagine he might even get behind this like Kennedy as a sort of rally together kind of thing (To get peoples minds off of recession or depression).

It still pays to see if his NASA Chief is a ULA sell out or not. I am not convinced.

With all the time I spend on BAUT, I think I've done at least $100k worth of advancing awareness and interest in space exploration.

Don't you?

In fact, I think all of us should be on NASA's budget!

Well, I can assure you that I am not working for ATK, Boeing, etc. I wish I was.
