Hi All,
I think we should have some sort of an episode for Amateur astrophotography, may be another following episode about how this can contribute to Astronomy in general.
I remember in the very beginning of Astronomy cast, there was like episode
Ep. 7: Getting Started in Amateur Astronomy
Ep. 33: Choosing and Using a Telescope
these where just the beginning for telescopes, why don't we do an advanced episode on telescopes and how amateurs can start in astrophotography in general, i think it would be a nice thing.

My 2 cents.

I agree that this is a good idea for a programme as I remember the sky at Night once devoted a programme to this topic.

As well as taking the pictures, how about how to enhance images and how to build them up over time.

Oops I forgot to say welcome to the board Fakahany

In the mean time I would suggest if you have any questions to perhaps try this section (http://www.bautforum.com/astrophotography/) of the BAUT forum as it is devoted to astrophotography

As these things happen, this thread (http://www.bautforum.com/astronomical-observing-equipment-accessories/85863-what-best-camera-lens-astrophotography.html) may be of interest to the beginner as they are discussing the kit needed for this

thanks sticks. : )
the two threads are usefull, and still i would hope for podcast for this. may be thing larger that we have more shows talking about ideas for amateurs to contribute to astronomy. may be taking previous ideas more deeper and practicle so everyone can see the way he can use his hobby to scientifically contribute to the field...
thanks
