Not a lot of plants will live below -50F, which is why you have a tree line on mountains, and in the Canadian/Siberian Arctic. Once the trees go, it's alpines, and then cold desert. It'll be a job to terraform Mars with night temps colder than that in Martian winter. We should be looking at the Andes, Himalayas, Rockies for species with genes to manage extreme cold and high altitude's thin atmospheres. Poppies on Pluto??? it'll be a while....but maybe they'll bring Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Lion, and the Scarecrow?:shifty:
