1976 1776..... INTERESTING TO SAY THE MOST

OK there is some INTERESTING points about NASA

200 years after the United states of America Declaration of Independence was wrote NASA sent VIKING lander ...so why did NASA plan to go to mars on the 200 years AFTER the declaration of Independence ?

1. 200 years before NASA lands on mars Declaration of Independence is wrote

2. NASA lander was called the VIKING ....well for those who do not know what the word VIKING means it means this ... Viking explorers, warriors, merchants, and pirates ...

so why did the lander need to go to mars the 200 years after the united states was a nation and then be named after warriors explores and merchants ? Interesting....

Il have more on this tonight ..But lets just ask ourself 1 thing ? why go when the united states was 200 years old ? why not 202 ? 201 ? 199 ?

Take time to read it and come up with your own view and share it and then we all we debate this

Does it have anything to do with the masons? Or the Build-a-burgers?

And how de we know the landers weren't actually named for the football team? During the 1976 season the Vikings were on their way to their third Super Bowl appearance. Perhaps NASA was merely trying to honor the previous 2?

a better question would be this:
why did the founding fathers sign the Declaration of Independence exactly 200 years before a good launch window to easily get to Mars? and how did they know that we would have the capability to do so in exactly 200 years?

why did NASA go to mars only 200 years after the Declaration of Independence ?

Interesting

The bolded date is actually the correct number. Both Viking missions were launched in 1975, not 1976.

. . . and? What's the conspiracy?

NASA previously sent flyby and orbiter missions to Mars. Later, they sent other orbiters and landers. This was part of a program of exploring the solar system. The USSR was doing much the same.

TRUTHisnotfacts,

Your vaque question posts in the Conspiracy Theories forum grow tiresome. If you have a conspiracy theory, state it, support it, and answer questions about it. If none of that is forthcoming, I will close this thread.

The united states also had wars before 1776 but the date and time was 1776 just like 1976

Yes, to be accurate, they landed on Mars in 1976. The launches were in '75, and of course, planning and construction was still earlier.

What is there to debate?? You've demonstrated in various threads that you like to "play" with numbers...so what.

Tell us all what is so interesting about your particular "brand" of numerology.

Is there a point to this thread at all?

By the way, the sum of digits of 1776 and 1976 are 21 and 23. If you add those together, you get 45. Put a 19 in front of that and you get the end of world war 2 which, of course, is exactly 31 years before the Viking landed on Mars.

The name Viking is not strange, nor were the Viking landers the first NASA spacecraft to have a historical name. Apollo 14's Command Module was named Kitty Hawk and Apollo 15's CM was Endeavour after Captain Cook's ship. And Gus Grissom suggested Titanic as a name for Gemini 3 but the Public Affairs Office said no. :)

OK, yes, it landed in 1976. . . but your original assertion is that it was "sent" in 1976. I can only assume that by the year it was sent you mean the year it was sent, not the year it arrived.

Incidentally, the USSR sent a probe to Mars in 1988, 200 years after the United States ratified its constitution. Clearly there must be a conspiracy there, too.
