well from what I have heard The shuttle is not going to be extended much longer . By a few years or around 2011 . After that it will be retired ...

2010 is the year that the Shuttle must be retired. Unless the new administration decides different. Yes ... that's next year. Yes.. I'll miss those beautiful launches.
