Any of you seen this nonsense?

Videos (heh), here:

So, we have HB'ers and (to their yin the yang) this crowd... the mind boggles.

Use the search, Nick. :)

IIRC we had quite an extensive discussion on the impossibility of hiding a Saturn V launch from Vandenberg.
Or a spaceship going to the Moon.

Or a spaceship going to the Moon.

I was lucky enough to catch a ride on USS Missouri when she put to sea to test her main guns. She sortied from Long Beach NSY and went down to a position about 60 miles off the coast of San Diego. After a day of testing the 16" the captain made the following announcement:

"There have been reports of numerous earthquakes in San Diego County. Careful checks of the timing show that they're perfectly matched with our exercises. Today, gentlemen, you made the Earth move."

The launch of a Saturn V would be a few levels above that, I think. And just as hard to hide.

I personally find the Apollo 20 conspiracy theory even less reasonable than the Apollo Hoax theories.

Reality never intrudes into a good CT.

Aw, why can't we have both? We faked missions 11-17 but then put together an actual moon mission and kept it secret.

The North Koreans have made it considerably easier to get there.

But the Earth is upside down in that picture. All the people would fall off if it was like that...

So the NKs are going to use hypodermic (sp?) needles to move the moon?

Gawdzilla, you hot linked an image from the Onion site in clear violation of forum rules

8. Hotlinking and large images

Try to avoid putting in links to images directly from someone else's website. This can add a lot to their bandwidth, and then the host has to pay for it. In other words, if you see an image you like on an astronomy site, put in a link to that site, but don't use the [IMG] tags so the image loads into your post from their site directly. If you really want an image in your post, put it in a public site someplace and link to it from there. One exception would be from sites like NASA or universities, where bandwidth is not such an issue. If you own the image, then you can upload it to the board yourself.

Additionally, don't embed a huge image (meaning an image that's over 100k or extends beyond the right-hand edge of a typical display) inline using the [IMG] tag but link to it instead. We still have dialup users and others with limited bandwidth for whom downloading a large image would be a significant annoyance.

Kelfazin and Anla'Shok you also share in this warning as you repeated the offence in quoting Gawdzilla

As Gawdzilla is the initial perpetrator I have issued a twenty four hour suspension

I did initially, but there are so many hits with apollo.

P.S. love the reply 'so we faked 11 to 17, but secretly went to the moon with 20' :D

As Gawdzilla has not been given a prior warning about violation of rule 8, his suspension has been lifted and replaced with a warning.

No CT being proposed. Topic discussed (see post 12 (thanks LaurelHS)). Thread closed.
