Great article.

I hadn't seen that photo of the BA in the space suit before. Good Lord! It looks like a prop from a bad 60s sci fi movie! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif (Or something a little kinky... /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif )

...burning brilliant beyond his years...

That's leant from "Blade Runner", isn't it? /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Very similar:

"The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long... and you have burned so very, very brightly,"

..but lets hope the BA has a very long life too! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I didn't see a space suit. Did they change the photo at the article?

Neither did I, just assumed it was only in the paper version. It was probably this:

definately kinky /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
Actually it looks rather like one of those painted boards you stick your head through... surely not a 'fake' suit BA! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif

The suit is indeed a plastic wall through which you stick your head. It's at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

No, it's good astronomy! It's well-established that larger, brighter stars burn out faster than smaller, dimmer ones.

Doesn't mention "brilliant" though. A lot like Edna St. Vincent Millay's "I burn my candle at both ends, It will not last the night. But oh, my foes, and ah, my friends, It gives a lovely light."
