Is the shower then tonight (10th) or on the 12th of August, and at what time will they be visible. Also will they be visible from Gibraltar, south of Spain?

Much appreciated!

This (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8193769.stm) BBC article gives a nice little map. You are on the same longitude as I am, more or less, and last night at midnight I saw Cassiopeia very low in the sky. So I guess it is not good for us, and the moon won't help either.

I have a question which I have puzzled about (on and off) for decades: why do these meteors all appear to come from the same point in the sky? Is the answer so obvious that nobody else asks the question?
