They are elusive, but powerful to see. "Moonbows" are rainbows created by light from the Moon. Conditions have to be just right, and there are only a small number of places in the world where they regularly materialize, such as Victoria Falls on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe as seen above, [...]

I've seen the Cumberland Falls moonbow. I hiked out along the ridge and cliffs to, IIRC, Eagle Falls down the river and was looking back at Cumberland.

Awesome!

Is there anyplace in or near Florida where I might be able to see one?

Yes, a few times in the Deep south of Louisiana - Mississippi area.

The ones I've seen are like rainbows but completely around the full moon....I've even seen a 'double' moonbow....two concentric bows around the moon at different distances

But I didn't think they were that rare. I thoght they were mostly due to ice crystals forming in the upper atmosphere.

Only Moon Halos in photographs and mainly through BAUT....

and wait....thinking of it....is Moon Halo the same as a MoonBow? Pardon my ignorance...once again...No it's not, is it?

...which I've seen a few times around Full Moon...the circumference of the Halo differs..

Buuuut...this capture of a Moon Rainbow over Victoria Falls is one of the most amazing captures I've seen of Orion...Wow...Perfect! I am filing this, very safely.

Thanks Fraser....for sharing and the links...

Well, I've seen moon halos in my area a few times, mostly in December-January.

What I'd really like to know is where is the closest place to Florida I could see an honest-to-goodness moonbow? I can't really afford to hop a plane to Africa, you know.
