Fraser. Interesting. Somewhere I recall reading about stars that formed from a common molecular cloud had ~ common directional axes of rotation...but this would seem to refute that and I haven't found the old reference. (I'm thinking Otto Struve or Steve Strom at UMASS Amherst??:shifty::doh:). This test by Jackson and Jeffries shows that at least one local open cluster has uniform or random axes....SEE:http://abstracts.stsci.edu/IAU258/Jackson.pdf
