One of my Alma Mata's is celebrating the life and works of Charles Darwin this autumn.

In case you are in the area, you may want to see if you can go to any of the events

Link to related university website (http://www.darwinfestival.org)

Unfortunately I have things I have to attend to so may not make it to most of these events.

They don't have monkeys? How can you have a Darwin Day without monkeys? Monkeys make everything better...

From the title of the OP I thought the subject was going to be more of a Darwin Award Festival, with such events as who can drive home the fastest with a BAC of .035, jump off peak roofed buildings with makeshift parachutes and seeing who can go the farthest in the single ramp motorcycle distance jump.

Thanks for posting that Sticks, I will be in the UK in October visiting some of my beloved medieval sites so I may check out a lecture:)

I am booked to see the movie Creation which has the Q&A session after it. It is this Thursday.

I just need to leave a meeting early :shifty:

I saw that film tonight and we had a Q&A afterwards.

During the Q&A we were told of this website (http://darwin-online.org.uk/) which has all of Charles Darwin's papers online.

Enjoy!
