And that's not the only gray area "out there." I'm thinking brown dwarf.

I assume this story about an object named as "Pallus" is referring to the asteroid 2 Pallas.

Pallas isnt very round. I thought that was one of the requirements. If Pallas qualifies, why dosent Vesta?

Only two bodies in the Asteroid Belt are bigger than 2 Pallas - the protoplanets 1 Ceres and 4 Vesta.
