May be in the future Mars , colonists will pick up these meteorites for their content in Iron and Nickel , an easy way to get metals. Big meteorites are not very much slowed by the thin atmosphere , small meteorites are vaporized and in the middle then land more or less intact.
So with time you may have a big resource on the Mars surface.
And you have just to use your eyes or a metal detector to find them.
