Does anybody know the exact number of stars in Trapezium? I saw on some website that a guy had resolved 6. lmk if anybody know anything about this. :D

never mind. abcdefgh, there are eight within trapezium .... :)

Actually, if you read the whole link, you will find that, of the four main stars, only "D" is solitary. "A" is a double, "D" is a triple and "B" is a quadruple, for a total of 10. Add in "E", "F", "G" and "H" and you get 14 stars in the system. I would suspect that over time, several of the stars will get flung out of the system by gravitational interactions.

The Trapezium cluster contains over 1000 stars in a volume less than 4 light years across! :o
