the till now discovered world's largest star is VY Canis Majoris( SM- 2,100), 3rd is VV Cephei A( SM- 1,600- 1,900) which is the second????
I am sorry that no one took the time to answer your question----the reason why I can not give an answer that can "hold weight"---is that the Universe is so vast that it may be more important to ask how do I know about the sizes of the stars---and not so much which ones are larger or smaller--- I hope I am making some sense . . .
