I got a new cellphone, earlier last month.

From SonyEricsson, after soooo many years, to Samsung.
The model I acquired is Samsung Galaxy I-9000.

First thing I did, was to download Google Sky!

Magnificient! I do not, overly, overtly, have to worry about cloudy London skies anymore. Not that I did anyway.

But I can see 'at a glance', as it were, what's up in the glorious skies around me!! I love it!

It took me a couplaweeks to be able to answer the phonecalls...pressing wrong thingies and all that...i've improved. I just slide/glide along the screen...

... That's good as the learning curve for visual amateur astronomy is steep and must be climbed before much can be done with astrophotography. That then as an even steeper and taller learning curve. I've been climbing both for over a half century and still only glimpse the top before it recedes back into the fog of ignorance again. You get there starting simple and growing your gear as your experience allows.

I don't think anyone knows the depth of my love for snoopy!

My uncle gave me a stuffed snoopy when I was a child.
I carried it everywhere with me and eventually over the years its neck collapsed (because snoopy has such a big head.)
My grandmother offered to reinforce his neck and I was so excited that he would/could be fixed.
Later, my grandmother brought snoopy to me after his "surgery" with a new collar made of a hawaiian printed fabric.
I was sooooo disappointed. Hawaiian print on snoopy?
I didn't tell her, I just thanked her.
He just wasn't the same after that.
Poor snoopy.
