    So that it can be printed using a Braille embosser.
    Braille books need typesetting. After checking the text in a conventional font, the typesetter converts to Braille and does layout adjustments that meet the usability requirements of the blind reader. It's particularly useful if you're trying to lay out text in both printed characters and Braille, which is common.
