    Help with Interactive Event Map

    Hi All,
One thing we'd really like to have is an interactive event sign-up map on the CosmoQuest website... sort of like those on the International Observe the Moon Night site and Yuri's Night (see below). Anyone have an idea of how to get this going?
    Thanks!

The map used in the first attachment is really easy to do. It looks like a simple google/bing map with markers on it. The second one is more complex but can be recreated using html5 canvas elements. How did you plan to get the data to populate the map? If you want, send me a message and I can create a few prototypes to let you look at. You can contact me directly if you want at stridera via skype or gmail/gtalk.

I think google maps will work fine in this case.

I'm putting together a map for space places: http://spaceplaces.org/

I just started, and will also be figuring out how to capture Events as well. I'll let you know when I get there.
