Images look different than Tutorial

I am new to this but the images in the tutorial look nothing like the ones that I am trying to find objects. The difference seems to be that little is being subtracted out of the image to block the bright stars.
I will attach a picture of one that I am working on and compare to to the one at the bottom of the page at http://cosmoquest.org/Ice_Investigators:_Tutorials

thanks wacer for your comment. I too am a bit confused by the "Recent Transient" and "Recent Confirmed Asteroids" lists that have been displayed lately. On Icehunters, the original KBO search, the round spots that didn't interfere with the background were KBO candidates and the strings of bumps and peanut shaped blobs were Asteroids. Looking at the recent images logged here it seems that some clarification is needed as there is too much similarity being logged between the two groups. Please can a member of the Science Team help as the images are a bit blurry/unclear and may be causing the mix-up.
