    Cinder Cone on Vesta?

    Does this look like a cinder cone to you?

    This is from image FC21A0011540_11299150501F1B_c5. The sun is illuminating this scene from the right. Shadows are being cast to the left of any raised feature. I've also attached the image rotated at about 55 degrees.

    Looks like an impact structure to me. Not the dark material that has formed a ray patern around the feature. There have been similar features found on LRO images that have been identified as an impact feature located by chance on a mound.
