Forum restored from backup

Due to a mistake by one of the administrators (me) that erased a longtime user, we restored the forum contents from backup. Any posts or other activity from roughly the last ten hours was lost in the restore. My apologies for that, but everything should be okay now.

Oh, no! I was able to confirm both of those with data obtained from water balloons, Pixie Sticks and an inordinate amount of coffee. It had something to do with the lack of consistency of the number one and the speed of light. It was great stuff!

Oh well, I guess just move on and get my life back in order now.

I briefly saw that our member Fermat had posted an elegant proof that for counting numbers larger than 1 a, b, c, and m, that a^m + b^m = c^m can only ever be true for m=2. It was cool enough that I'm pretty sure he'll be back and post it again.

More seriously, the only thing that has (so far) prevented me from making the kind of slip-up that made this happen is that my laziness has left all of that kind of maintenance to ToSeek and Swift. So, sorry to Fermat and everyone else who lost some posts, but thanks to ToSeek and Cory for getting it fixed. I can only imagine the stress you must have felt.
