    Smile Major star and season

What major (alpha) star do you associate with a season? Mine:

    Arcturus - Spring

    Antares - Summer

    Fomalhaut - Autumn

Canopus - Winter (yes, Canopus is visible from here; for maybe 2 months)

Not always. It seems like we don't even see that one in some seasons.

...meanwhile, where I live, Sol is ALWAYS "out" it seems. It's so sunny here, that sunlight in the eye is often a problem (while driving). I could drive north at midnight, and there's Sol!!

Okay, mild exaggeration, but feels that way sometimes.

Perhaps that's all the more reason? Longing for Sol quite often!
