    Why would they be streaming anything live NOW for a launch not scheduled until 4 days away? SpaceX normally starts their stream 10-20 minutes before a launch. NASA might start earlier than that, but there would certainly be no live stream at this point. Check closer to the scheduled launch time.

    2 days after the In-Flight Abort from LC-39A.

    They're setting a helluva tempo...

    @SpaceFlightNow
    SpaceX plans to launch its next group of Starlink broadband satellites aboard a Falcon 9 rocket as soon as Monday, Jan. 20, from Cape Canaveral, two days after a Falcon 9 launch from a neighboring pad Saturday. https://t.co/EvBhShLx4Dhttps://t.co/A0gG64ARUO

    Not yet but here is an animation of the event. It will broadcast live during a four-hour window opening at 8 a.m. EST (1300 GMT) Saturday.

    https://spaceflightnow.com/2020/01/1...ht-abort-test/

    SpaceX’s final planned Crew Dragon test flight before astronauts ride the commercial spaceship into orbit is scheduled for Saturday, when an unpiloted crew capsule will fire off the top of a Falcon 9 rocket shortly after launch from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida to test the craft’s in-flight emergency escape capability.

    This video illustrates the timeline of the in-flight abort test, which is scheduled to begin during a four-hour window opening at 8 a.m. EST (1300 GMT) Saturday.

    A Falcon 9 rocket will lift off from pad 39A at the Florida launch base and arc toward the east, simulating a crewed mission for the first minute-and-a-half of the flight.

    I wasn't interested in streaming at this time, but a link for when it happens.

    Heads up;

    IF the Crew Dragon In-Flight Abort from LC-39A doesn't launch on Saturday it's possible it could launch on Monday morning, a few hours before the StarLink 3 mission from LC-40. Unlikely, but possible.

    Yeah, two in one day from the same range 😎

    Let's see, subtract three hours is 7:54, my doct6r appointment isn't until 9:00 -- yeah, I've got a shot at seeing it! Barely.

    Report (tested with water - liquid nitrogen next, which will harden this steel);

    Elon Musk @elonmusk
    Starship 9m test tank made 7.5 bar at room temp! Small leak at a weld doubler. Will be repaired & retested at cryo.

    Starship SN1 tank test to failure. They need it to hold 8.5 bar.

    Starlink launched, first stage landed. In coast phase.

    ETA: And they've caught one fairing half, the other is afloat.

    ETAA: Satellites deployed.

    Falcon 9 should hit 100+ launches this year.

    Not if we talk 100 satellite launches.
    With sufficient thrust, water towers fly just fine.

    The post could be read in two ways 100+ launches or 100+ satellites. The way I read it was launches, and I agree with 100+ satellites this year.

    Yeah, they'll easily make 100 satellites, since they've already done 120 this month!

    Starship career day at the Stargate building (Boca Chica Blvd, TX) this Thursday from 3pm to 9pm!

    This is mainly for staffing up 4 production shifts for 24/7 operations, but engineers, supervisors & support personnel are certainly needed too. A super hardcore work ethic, talent for building things, common sense & trustworthiness are required, the rest we can train.

    My high school Spanish reminds me that Boca Chica means "cute mouth", or some such. Better than Boca Raton, I guess, which means "Mouse Mouth".

    In this context, chica means "small" - so "Small Mouth". Why that name was given to the village, or any other Boca Chica around the world, isn't clear to me by a quick internet perusal.

    I *did* already know that Boca Raton was named after sharp "rat-teeth-like" rocks in the vicinity of that place when the Spanish were the authority.
