    Name of next geomagnetic reversal/excursion

I have seen it proposed that the next "super minimum" of the sun be called the Eddy Minimum, after the astronomer who revived the idea of super minima. IN the same spirit, what should we name the next geomagnetic event? Who was the scientist who came up with a reversing magnetic field for the Earth?

Since past magnetic chrons are named for geomagnetism researchers, how about we just let the geomagnetic community continue their naming process?

You think The Weather Channel would allow that?
It's going to be called Geoffrey-7 or Inigo Montoya or some such nonsense.
