We'll probably still get it on Sky.
But will Discovery still be on Netflix? Picard is on Amazon Prime.
Honestly, do people still watch broadcast television anymore?

You speak of the access model? Like should pay per view be an alternative to subscriptions? That would make sense once they figure it out.
Alternatively, move to YouTube style ad based funding for those who don't want to pay directly.
But streaming itself is unlikely to not be a fad. Broadcast television with its TV Guide and Radio Times are on the way out probably.

That picture just reminds us of the whole $25.95 they spend per episode.
It truly is a successor the old Trek. It looks really, really cheap.
Though such limitations generally work in its favour. The overproduced Discovery is the lesser of the two despite its much higher production values.
Can one still purchase views of Amazon Prime shows per episode? I've done that in the past for shows that are worth it to me. It's a lot up front, but then the 2 years or more pass before there's anything I want to see and it all works out. I doubt there's such an option for CBS All Access.
