You might have enough time to fly to the places where you will see Sirius be occulted, but you'd have to be over the ocean.

According to this image, 4338 Jürgenstock was not big enough to cover the whole star.

That's a good question. I saw this about the occultation:

but nothing online about the event itself. Perhaps someone is writing up the paper now. Hope to see it published.
