Is this being claimed as novel? I am suspicious of-the word truss when the link is a tie. Rotation as artificial gravity? Who knew?

That was proposed in 2001 , but it was a portion of the ship, not ships. Without doing calculations the truss strength is very important, but I suspect the balance of the two engines. This is my mind would put more stress on the system as the truss would be strong in a rotational basis.
ETA: von Braun conceptualized a rotating disk in the 50's for Disney.
