    Frequent forum outages

For the past week or so I have been getting frequent forum outages, with the screen showing the following error or fault message:

It's the forum. I can tell because the clock is right again.

I've gotten a white screen of death several times lately. No error messages or anything, just a plain white window.

Like Trebuchet, I frequently just get a blank page.

I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary, but I'm not on as much as I used to be.

We do have someone looking into this, but progress is slow so far.

Had a short problem yesterday. Probably the reality thread discussion is causing the forum software a headache...

I didn’t see it for a number of days, but ran into it at least a couple of times in the last day or so.

It recurred today after a couple of trouble-free weeks.

I came up with a blank page on several tries at one point yesterday. It's been fine for me otherwise.

It's disconcerting to get a blank screen while reading about Mind Independent Reality.

I got the OP error message again for a few minutes this morning. I am not complaining, just keeping the management informed. I understand how these bugs can be difficult to diagnose.

    Intermittent bugs are the worst.

Oh my yes. I spent pretty much my whole engineering career troubleshooting this or that. Not always, but often. Consistent failures you can track down. Intermittent? Luck of the draw.
And back on topic, a little while ago Tapatalk was telling me "This thread may have already been deleted by the moderators" (or some such) for every CQ new post. So I tried the computer, expecting the white screen of death, and yup, got it.

Is the forum on dedicated hardware, not the cloud? I have had periods of slow responses followed by database errors. It feels like what might happen if a computer, especially a hard drive, needs replacement or repair.
