I've yet to hear anybody pronounce the year as "Two thousand [and] twenty."

I guess that "twenty-twenty" is too fluent to pass up. I hope that style persists.

“Two thousand and...” kind of went out of favor after 2009, because people found it easier to say “twenty” and then a full number whereas previously they would have had to say “twenty-oh-nine” or “twenty-zero-nine”.

Most of us will probably never again see a year with "teen" in it in our lifetimes.

True, but at least there are only two more years until February 2nd and 22nd 2022 full the void of “numbers all the same” dates that has been growing within us ever since 2012 ended.

Being somewhat unrefined, I didn't recognize the name, so I listened to someone performing it on YouTube. I too would have approved of that if performed next door.

And Happy New Year to all.

Wouldn't February 2nd (and 20th) 2020 do that next month, at least to the extent that 2022 would?

(February 2nd 2022 will be my 20th wedding anniversary. )

2/20/20 is pretty good, but not as good as 2/22/22, having all one digit makes it more satisfying to one’s sense of organization.

We need to start lobbying now to add two more days to March before 2033 rolls around. I say take one each from July and August.

August is already only about two weeks long. It’s August 1st, you blink, and it’s August 25th.

I dunno. We once had a party to celebrate the fifth of June, 1978. It started at 12:34.
(I presume Americans, with their puzzling no-logical-order date abbreviation, would have opted for the sixth of May.)

I still use a more logical IMO order, 02/22/2020 or for Kia 02/22/2022. But that is just me.

12:34, 5/6/78... that sounds pretty snazzy.

01:23:45, 6/7/89 is only 25,353 days away. I hope I can stay awake past 1:00 AM when I'm 137 years old.

Julian day number 2,345,678 was on February 23, 1710. Julian day number 3,456,789 won't be until April 7, 4752. I just missed both.

At that time of the morning, you'll almost certainly be out of bed to pass urine. (If you remember to get out of bed, that is.)

You might consider 6/5/43 at 2:10 at 91 years of age since, at that age, the clock is ticking down.
