    Tunguska event

The Tunguska event happened early morning local time & came in from the east south-east.

Does that mean the object could have been orbiting the Sun the wrong way?

Are you talking about the event in 1908 or has there been a new one recently

If it is coming from the East in the early AM, then it is coming roughly from the direction of the Sun, so this is an object in an elliptical orbit on its way back out after perihelion. I don't think this says anything about whether it is orbiting the right way or wrong way.

It might have been a chunk of comet 7P/Pons–Winnecke.

Iím not sure about this, but I think that if an asteroid is deflected from a higher, and hence slower, orbit, and intersects the earthís path as it drops, you could have a situation where the earth plows into it rather than the opposite.

If there had been another one recently, you would have heard about it...

If Sinbad lives in the Eastern hemisphere, it would have been possible to hear it directly.

I was interested because biologist suggested the impact was something small travelling very fast.
It happened in 1908 and very little had regrown when pictures we taken in 1927.
This suggests the soil had been sterilised but there area is a very wet bog and heat from an air burst would not penetrate downwards just boil off top layer as steam.

Could an object in a retro orbit or and interstellar object be travelling fast enough for ram-air effects to generate soft x-rays that sterilised the area?

It's long since over. Bacteria and other life has re-colonized the area.
