Although he made numerous films I am sure that he will chiefly remembered for his role as James Bond. That is certainly the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of him. I personally enjoyed him in "The Name of the Rose". And who can forget the giant red nappy (diaper) in "Zardoz"?

Someone has to say it: "I didn't expect you to die, Mr Bond."

Wasn't that Goldfinger when he stated I expect you to die?

RIP Sean, you will be missed.

    That's the reference, yes.
"Do you expect me to talk?"
"No, Mr Bond, I expect you to die."

Generally misquoted as, "I expect you to die, Mr Bond."

Although it did not involve aliens or sci-fi themes, Sean Connery's best space film was the unsettling 1981 "Outland"

He was a powerful screen presence for a long time.

His Bond films are the only ones I care to look at.

He starred in one of the best submarine movies. And he was the best Bond.

I realized this morning that my very first date was taking a girl to Thunderball.

I have complicated feelings about him, because I dearly love some of his movies. (I'm a big fan of Marnie, which not everyone is.) But the man himself . . . .
