    A slow start this morning

The forum seems to keep slowing down sporadically. It was worse an hour ago; I had to wait about 5 minutes to get on the site, lightening up now, but sill happens.

It's not my browser (Edge), I am having no trouble with other sites.

I'm running slow, too. It must be a general thing because I'm using the Chrome browser.

One-minute delays possible when clicking on an internal link to the site, but more often 10-20 seconds.

It started sometime before midnight last night. I checked in maybe three times, it always took a long time for the board to respond, and I would go off to do something else while waiting. I was hoping it would resolve on its own by today, but apparently not. I wouldn’t be surprised if it needs a reboot. This isn’t a new thing.

I can't do anything about it, but I've messaged the Admins and maybe they can take a look.

Checking in and it seems a lot faster.

Maybe the Christmas crunch? A lot of people were at home taxing the internet.

The internet can be very taxing at times, so fair's fair.

I’m seeing some threads that aren’t showing the latest posts from the forum view like:

    https://forum.cosmoquest.org/showthr...just-don-t-get

And the forum seems slow to me, especially when adding a new post. Actually, it has seemed to be slow for a few days. Is anyone else noticing that? It seems like the system needs a reboot or something every so often and I’m wondering if we are getting to that point?

Likewise. Out-of-date forum listings, and errors when making posts--sometimes messages saying I'm double posting, sometimes messages saying if I leave the page my data will be lost (but the post goes up anyway), sometimes just a long hang with nothing apparently happening (but the post goes up anyway). But it just started in the last few hours, for me.

Well, I’ve been noticing some forum slowness for a few days, but it seems worse today. The listing and posting issues seem to have started today for me, like you’re seeing.

Yup, seeing the same things, including on Tapatalk.

ETA: This post was quick, however.

Some of the older, more massive threads seem to take a long time to load, especially in Tapatalk...but not all of them. But that's been going on for quite a while.

Is it still going on? Speed seemed to improve for me last night, and I haven’t had posting problems today or seen old/wrong last posts in forum view. I’m wondering if it was reset (or whatever they do) at some point without mention.

Anyone having issues posting images? I tried to post a couple and the board went through the motions, but never displayed them.

Slow again today. Multiple instances of "Do you really want to leave the page? Changes may not be saved". One post I thought I made didn't seem to have made it, although that's likely just me. Also a UT post got repeated ten times!

It's REALLY slow just now. Took about three minutes to even come up with the "do you want to leave?" message. Next post got a "database error" thing. The it took several minutes just to get back to the main page.
ETA: A minute forty for that one. Then another thirty to get to the edit page.

I have made substantial financial contributions to this forum more than once. I'm wondering why.
