    Of course we know several larger objects - 90377 Sedna for example - (and *many* comets) that go further out than this one does, but at the moment, this is the most distant that we can and have imaged.

    Funny thing I noticed a couple of years ago that still holds true - discoveries of TNOs are extending outward but not yet as fast as Voyager 1 (currently at 152 AU). The advantages of having a power source (while it lasts), transmitter, and sizable dish antenna... [Pulls pedant's license from wallet] So make that "most distant known natural object".
