What if Starship Didnít Do a Landing Burn at All?

Another 3D graphic artist has a proposal for Musk: to "catch" the Starship using a special launch tower, kind of like they want to do with the Super Heavy.

Meh. You still still have to reduce the velocity, in whatever direction, for pretty much zero for the scheme to work. And note the quote from Musk as to why he wants to catch SuperHeavy:
“We’re going to try to catch the Super Heavy Booster with the launch tower arm, using the grid fins to take the load… Saves mass & cost of legs & enables immediate repositioning of booster on to launch mount—ready to refly in under an hour.”
Nothing about not needing a burn. Because they'll still need it.
I do, of course, appreciate the similarity of the artist's conception to a certain medieval siege weapon!

First of all, I think they have to work on landing in fewer pieces...
