    Argon Atmosphere?

Not totally argon; just 3/4th's argon and 1/4th oxygen with trace other gases:

Would a world that atmosphere be breathable?

Argon is heavier than oxygen, so it should sink. With a lack of wind, would that leave the lower elevations not breathable?

Argon weighs about the same as CO2. It would not stratify with the molecular Oxygen any more than CO2 does.
