For those who seen the movie is this movie set in one galaxy, or do they travel to other galaxies?

It is set in the Universe. Exactly where in it various actions take place is largely left untold.

It's set in one galaxy, presumably our own. They travel to 3 or 4 different planets.

Let us not forget: "Space is big. Really big. You simply would not believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is..."

Hey, you! "It's" with an apostrophe means "it is" or "it has." "Its" without an apostrophe means "belongs to it."

"For shame, gentlemen, pack your evidence a little better against another time."

The Infinite Improbability Drive causes the ship pass through every point in the Universe simultaneously.

Well, theoretically, every time they use the improbability drive, you're on the ship because it would pass through the points around you. And through you. So for that split-second, you're on the ship. =P
