    Happy Birthday, Me!

Yep, shameless cry for recognition here. 18th birthday today.

Hm. No overwhelming rush of maturity. Guess it's overrated anyway...

Many people are regressing...just with a whole lot more information in their heads.

18th birthday was significant for me, I registered to vote the next day (due to a car problem). So, what can you do in Ottawa at 18?

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Many returns of the day. It's surprising to find out you're 18. Thought you were older. That's a compliment, BTW.

Welcome to that exclusive club where you can vote for the taxes you pay, get married and have a mortgage and spend the next 30 or so years of your life in penury and misery.

    PS. Have a great day!

My birthday is the 19th. It's not a "milestone" birthday, but I'm mature enuff that I don't want to reveal the exact number #-o

Happy Birthday man! Eighteen was the first age that actually felt somewhat different for me. I'm sure 21 will too.

Actually, 19 is the legal drinking age in Ontario. 18 in Quebec (right over the river, mind you). Too bad I'm too much of a stick-in-the-mud to partake...

Fun things to do in Ottawa at 18? Well... nothing, really... vote maybe? Not fun, but good. And all the drinking across the river that I won't be doing. Wow I'm boring.

Anyway, thanks all! It's good to have a day of your own. It's also nice that people think I'm a bit older than I am. At least, it is for now. That won't last.

    And... Olé!

I don't know; I find voting fun, but I do it by absentee w/a friend, researching all the stuff as we go. besides, the first election I ever voted in, I got to vote against my junior high principal for school board!

Heh. Can't do that here. Elections are a lot less complicated. No sheriffs, judges are appointed, school board trustees are appointed, no bills to vote on, no electoral colleges, just a few MP hopefuls. We don't even elect senators.

I suppose it may be fun. Never tried it before.

    Wow. Still enjoying it, thanks!

    Swift: Cake? You bet.

Conspiracy Cam: Lots of good stuff. Pile of books, couple of DVDs. And I'm going to say you're between 25 and 30.

    Everyone else: Thanks again!
