    Hello, All...

I'm fascinated with the "Redshift Controversy". We all know that in the late 1920's when the redshift phenomena was established that the only thing that could explain it at the time was a Doppler interpretation.

However, today we have more information. If, as Arp suggests, there are other causes of the redshift at work in quasars, perhaps the Doppler interpretation is not entirely correct. In addition, there are other known causes for redshift - gravitation, for example. And, since the BBT is very dependent upon the Doppler interpretation of the redshift, it throws the whole theory into question.

I'd like to get a discussion going on this issue. What say you?

    Regards,
    Reshift

there is already lots of discussion on this Redshift. I am going to leave this reply up for a day or so, so you can see them, then either merge it with the appropriate discussion or delete it.
