    SUMMARY: Larry took this close picture of comet Hale-Bopp from Germantown Hills, Illinois. This image was taken with a Nikon 35mm camera and a 200mm lense riding piggyback on the guided telescope.

    Nice one, Larry!
    Clear enough to see both &#39;tails&#39;... of course, I forget what is &#39;driving&#39; the blue one >rotten memory&#33; :angry: < ... and the backdrop of stars looks like it might have a couple of stories to tell, too&#33;
    All in all, beautiful&#33; ... what else can I say but I&#39;m jealous&#33;

    Brings back a few very happy memories of many hours spent observing that magnificent comet. I wonder if we&#39;ll ever be lucky enough to see such a brilliant comet again...
