    Birthdays

    Hi All,
Happy birthday to you all. Was born arse first on New years day,
as was my beloved Father. Crapped on the nurse who delivered me.
Been an ******* ever since, never accepting anything that didn't cut
it in reason and logic. Now can we get back to this forum, created so
people of like mind can converse and exchange ideas, not of birth, but
who we have become in the passing years of experience.
    Nokton.

Don't, Candy. Will you be stopped in your friendly well-wishing by someone whose character can only be described by her/himself (let alone others) in words that aren't admissable on this board, using asterisks instead?

This guy/gal may be proud of his/her "reason and logic", but he/she certainly doesn't "cut it" in friendliness and appropriate behaviour. To write a scathing, self-important ("look how rational I I I I I am") post to someone who takes the trouble of congratulating everyone on his/her birthday? In the Off-Topic Babbling section?I mean come on, will you let such rudeness stop you?

Let her/himl steam in her/his fecal verbiage (koprolalia, the physician calls it) - I, for one, appreciate your friendly gestures.

You just go on, will you please?

I believe the BA’s birthday passed this month, so Belated Birthday!

I won’t mind if someone beats me to the good wishes. I love the challenge.

Thanks Candy for the birthday greeting. I had a massive party last night. I'm feeling a bit under the weather today. I now have enough Borders vouchers to keep me well read for the next 21 years. Can anyone suggest some good astronomical books? I've already read Phil's.

    ...Too many short sentences.

I like Brian Greene. Have you read The Fabric of the Cosmos?

Candy, you seem to be caught in a time-loop. Was there a big matter-anti-matter explosion at the airport?

Isn't this freaky? I didn't get an email on this - I saw it updated through Off-Topic Babbling.

This thread and others just wouldn't bump, so to speak. I hope kucharek gets the message.

This birthday has been fun, but my present is on the 16th when I get to see Stephen Hawking in person!!! And I'm using some birthday money to buy a really bright green laser pointer so I can point out constellations!!! What more could a sixteen year old ask for?

P.S. Candy, I have read the Fabric of the Cosmos. SO GOOD!! My favorite part is about the higgs field

I don't have any birthdays to relate, one way or another (At least, I don't think so - I'm HORRID at remembering other people's birthdays )

However, I have to say, Candy, you have so much energy o.o Jeez. Keep up the good work, girl, I love birthday threads 'cause of the informality and friendliness... it also relieves any tension from argumentative threads (I don't want to hurt feelings: Not just Candy, but anyone else who posts a "happy birthday" in here too, have my respect)

Thank you, Candy! Um... sorry it took me so long to reply. I haven't had much spare time lately, and BAUT takes a lot of time to catch up on!

I did, but it hard to keep up with it every day. I've been feeling ill for the last few days. I thought I would only do the Happy Birthday for the more recent posters (last 3 months). I was clicking on some of the profiles, and most of the people haven't posted in over a year. I'm going from memory, so I could be wrong on the length.

    I do love birthdays!
