    Moon Shots

Hand held shots through my first scope, excuse the quality as they were not planned out and hand held. Once I fiqure out the camera settings and get a proper mount should improve...at least I had fun trying anyway. Skywatcher 1309/25mm /2xbarlow/nikon995.

Hey, those are really good! The second one intrigues me, the little craters and rays of the bigger one.

Well done. Holding a digital camera to the eyepiece of your telescope my be the simplest way to get some nice lunar shots.

I have a Coolpix 995 also, and have found the Scopetronix 18mm eyepiece that threads directly to the camera an invaluable tool for photography. You might consider putting it on your Christmas wish list.

Thx for the input...it's my first attempt in the freezing temps so I didn't stay out too long. Hand holding the camera is a challenge. After some thought on improving the setup I am pretty sure the images will be much better.

    stay tuned
